Misc. December 2025

December was a busy month but doesn't come with a whole lot of pictures

Gabi got her braces off this month!

Sweet family togetherness:

Kittens being babies:

Once again, we participated in our synagogue's annual tradition of packaging and delivering cookies to first responders on Christmas. What was different this year was that we were heavily featured on the local news story as a result.

We brought cookies to the hard working folks at the FAA Austin tower and enjoyed our annual Christmas tour.

Chappy Chanukah 2026!

We kicked off the first night of Chanukah straight away with potato latkes (tasted just fine gluten free)!

Ethan designed a game that he had been working on at school for weeks. It was creative, engaging, fun. It included trivia. physical movement, competition, and got the Chanukah juices really flowing. We were throwing candy, singing songs, dancing, and laughing as a family. It was such a fun way to start off the holiday, and I had no idea he was even working on it. What a proud momma I was!

The crazies seemed satisfied with the first night's presents.

On Night 2, the crazies were extra excited that Grandpa sent them dreidels from Israel that had the 'pey' on them, indicating that "The Great Miracle Happened Here."

Night 3 was our CohGil Chanukah Party. Some of us went to get donuts for the party and accidentally ate donuts at the store before buying some to take home, so we kept that part a secret. The next secret came in the form of amusing wrapping paper for the Gilden's presents.

Night 4 brought Daddy back home after he had worked for 2 nights and Nana bought us some Colorado Rockies hats to get us excited about rooting on a Denver team!

Night 5 was more latkes (apple) and new shirts.

Night 6:

Night 7 introduced our Meat-norah!

And finally, with our chanukiyot full of light on Night 8, and full hopes for a bright new year, we concluded the holiday hoping the brightness would continue to shine through any darkness ahead.
