Misc. April 2024

The smorgasbord of not-otherwise-blogged pictures and videos from April 2024:

With continued gratitude to a father on Ethan's baseball team, we get professional grade pictures of these (and more!) beautiful baseball moments:

Mommy/Spenceman Twinsies:

Spencer and The Pink Rhinos played their hearts out throughout the month.

Mommy and Gabi enjoyed special girls time going to see The Prom together.

Gabi and Spencer worked all month building Lego flowers, and Spencer even made a matching vase to display the beauty!

Passover Party 2024

Passover started on a Monday night this year, which was pretty inconvenient for everyone. So we decided to extend the party by 2 days, move in to Driftwood early the weekend before, and shove 22 people together for 5 days total. What could go wrong?

Our part began at a Mexican restaurant on Saturday night for dinner. Then back to the Kompound for late night fun.

On Sunday morning, the kitchen crew started their busy work, and the child crew took all TEN children to the park by the clubhouse.

All done park. Time to safely move on to the next fun family activity.

Pool time! (Note to blog audience: You will find that many kids went swimming many days. You will find that zero adults went zero of the days. BRRRRR)

So much family togetherness:

Evening arrived, and it was time to organize 10+ humans to pleasantly search the house for bagged pieces of bread.

Ending the night with games, screens, puppies, and a large number of individuals in a small amount of space:

Monday morning started with the ceremony to burn the chametz collected the night before. All 10 cousins were once again present for the moment.

Much of the day was spent preparing for the seder, entertaining children, and sometimes both at the same time.

The last details were prepared, and all the handsome folks were ready to dazzle and celebrate!

(Clearly, the pups wanted to be in the photo shoot.)

Time for the celebration to begin! Here comes Seder 1.

This Passover was different than all other Passovers because we invited (and required) 100% of participants to lead various parts of the seder in attempts to create an interactive experience that was engaging for a lot of the people a lot of the time.

During Magid, we hosted our very own Passover Squares Game with Team MaXtzah led by Moses Zayde vs. Team CharOset led by Nana.

Jacob created an epic search for the Afikomen with a scavenger hunt to engage all of the cousins.

End of night snuggles WAY past bedtime:

As of Tuesday morning, we bid adieu to Team CohAn, so *only* 19 of us remained. Aunt Debbie and Uncle Jon had early snuggles that morning from a special visitor.

Before heading to the park, some CohGil kiddos created an epic Duplo baseball game, dugout and all.

After already enjoying togetherness for a few days, this was our last full day with the big family for the holiday.

Time for Seder 2!

All participants once again lead various parts of the seder.

At long last, it was time to embrace our redemption and head to freedom back in North Austin.
