LISTOS! Spontaneous Austin FC Game

When scrolling through Facebook at 7:45 pm and you see a neighbor post about free tickets to an MLS soccer game that started at 7:30, you think for about 27 seconds and then whisk your showered and pajama'ed kid out of his bed and take him spontaneously to the stadium, of course! Always LISTOS! Ethan and Mommy both enjoyed our first ever home game watching the Austin FC, even if we only got to watch the 2nd half.

We showed up at halftime to a tied game. We were able to witness a great Austin goal, and we left cheering for a winning home team!

VERDE!!!

Miscellaneous May 2023

Regardless of personal or professional lives, the children's last month of the school year proved quite busy. I felt very grateful that both of my part time jobs allow such flexibility that I can be involved and participate in every picnic, field trip, showcase, book fair, ceremony, and celebration. 😴😴😴.

I joined Spencer and Kindergarten at the Thinkery, the Austin children's museum with play-based, inquiry-rich, hands-on learning experiences.

Ethan's grade got to explore the Inner Space Cavern in Georgetown, and I got to join!

The elementary school had 2 nights of showcases to show off the great fine arts accomplishments this school year.

As per usual, my desk space and body turn into a warm refuge for the circus, largely Bri.

Others were jealous of all the attention Bri demands from me.

These little cuties are such sweet snugglers with each other.

Mommy and puppers found a park for some off leash hiking!

That time we put new concrete stones down to cover the mud at
the edge of our patio, and Reggie was too scared to cross them.

We celebrated big Micah turning 3 and enjoyed a weekend full of Gilden fun!

For Mother's Day, I got 2 of my favorite things: sweet pictures of me with my children AND time withOUT my children.

Mother's Day date for some well-deserving and hard-working mommas

Special Daddy-Feffer time:

They said they switched bodies. And then got married. {shrug 🤷‍}

Our short soccer season ended this month. Ethan loved his 2nd season with Coach Frannie and the Space Dragons.

Spenceman proved himself to be quite the soccer star and perhaps demonstrated that he should be with players his own age next time...

When we had leftover cookies from Mommy's work and a holiday that encourages dairy AND it was the last day of school, I knew what we had to do.

More miscellaneous May:

Spenceman and some cute buds at a birthday party

Because sometimes, bros deserve ice cream.

When it works, it works.

Gabi's teeth kept jumping out.
