Halloween 2018

As Halloween approached, we needed to get into the costume spirit. Two of the crew were into it; the little one was not so much.

Joey and Shayna came over to get inspired for their Halloween dress-up.

gotta keep our neighborhood safe and ourselves even safer

Even with cheese stick in hand, Spencer couldn't be convinced to put the puppy head on.

On Halloween eve, everyone was dressed and ready. We had an excited Spiderman, and Gabi went with "Super Butterfly."

With the distraction of the outside air, Spencer lost his mad focus and gave us some smiles!

The costumed Cohens were equipped, and off they went!

They did alright for themselves.

And finally, right before it was time to end the night, someone finally had all the dressing up and Halloween spirit.

October 2018

In the Jewish calendar, we started the month where there are ZERO holidays, which was a drastic difference from last month with a ton. That's kinda how our October seemed too. It was a nice calm month.

This month, Spencer's poor mouth exploded with teeth popping out of any available gum space, causing nose drips and extra fuss. BUT he also exploded with new language and words! He communicates "uppease" (which is almost identical to his "heppease" aka 'help please.') He can carry a tune, repeats almost anything, and will tell you a whole sentence of information (even though you can't understand 90%). He can identify some animals, tell you many animal sounds, and match puzzle pieces to the right image. He colors with markers and crayons and is a pretty cute and adorable, fun toddler (...when he's not being a screechy, tantrumy toddler).

He was thirsty.

happy cuddles with Mommy

These boots are made for walking?
He has big shoes to fill? Choose a cliche.

That seems safe.

If you're thinking, "I want to see some Spenceman in action!" then these are for you:
jumping like the big kids do
can't beat baby giggles
big guy on playground

Believe it or not, this happens more than you'd think.

While Spencer continues to hit all milestones and develop beautifully, my poor son gets his height from the "Kaye" side of the family and has yet to break out of the 10th percentile...that has been nice so far...until now.

pretty darn proud of himself

"I'm not terribly sure why Mommy put this giant spoon in my hand, but I'm sure gonna try to find out."

If you're wondering if - at 20 months old - Spencer can stay awake between official sleep times, the evidence points to 'no.'
when dinner gets too exhausting

Spencer continues to whine daily at school drop off, but it's all drama. Here are some smiley Spencer shots from school:

Ethan's memory is getting remarkably impressive. He enjoys coloring, singing, dancing, jigsaw puzzles, snuggling, and being a goofy goof.

This boy LOVES The Wiggles!

After 4 solid years of loving Blue Doggy, Ethan's best bed pal was looking a little too well-loved and thin. We had a fabulous neighbor add some extra stuffing, and the surgery patient and his human pal were oh so happy once again.

September 2014

Gabi's got sass and style and pretty much does what she wants. Which can be bad, but may hopefully be good one day?

This girl and this kitty (Casey) have a very special bond.

We went to Mt. Playmore for a birthday party for 2 friends, and the kids took total advantage of the play cards that came with the package.

Gah, these two boys and their bond... The cuteness overwhelms the heart.

Why isn't Ethan wearing clothes?

Don't you worry; the thriving threesome is still going strong.

caught playing nicely and getting alongly-like

Kitten babies:

It's not easy. It's not stress-free. It's often (physically) alone. But I am one lucky momma.
Night night, silly siblings.
