That moment when you're upstairs trying to get "calm" kids ready for nap and you hear, "Mommy, come look what me and Spencer did!!!"
Zayde raised 4 kids once upon a time, so he should know what it's like to have full hands.
On March 4th, we celebrated this super guy's 1/2 birthday!
A sad day arrived when we had to say "Goodbye" to our beloved "Gigi Guitar," gifted to Ethan when he turned 2 years old, loved by anyone who's played at our house, and treasured by musically-inclined Ethan. We will miss you always. The break in the neck finally got to a dangerous status. May you rest in peace, and may your memory be a blessing to us all.
Do not despair (for too long)! Thanks to the magic of Amazon Prime, we had a new and beautiful Ethan-chosen red guitar to love and strum!
Voting day arrived in Texas, and everyone did his or her civic duty. They say Democrats showed up in overwhelming numbers, so we'll have to wait until November to see if there's any true impact.
Spencer's advancements this month included new teeth (2 new on top + 1 on bottom = 8 total), the skill of waving (not yet caught on camera), and the ability to climb over the bathtub. He willed himself to walk more and more and became quite the happy boy (despite a mid-month virus that made him miserable for a week).
The girl who does not nap (and also, does not wear clothes, apparently):
no pillow - no problem! |
She sure has some interesting sleep preferences. |
When Gabi says, "Take a picture of me," apparently we say, "How high?"
Fun with Gilden cousins this month:
Along with spring break, we enjoyed some GORGEOUS weather this month as spring has sprung in Texas!

I'll go first - We'll call this one, "Whatever gets them up the stairs..." |
It's not always easy, but it's often entertaining:
Making pretzels with Maven and Addi:
Nana and Zayde snuck in for one more visit before Passover. Gabi, Ethan, and I got to join them to check out their house project. While Nana and Zayde were excited about the presence of walls, we were excited about the entertaining men on stilts! (P.S. It was also Nana's birthday!)
(enjoying Nana cake leftovers the next day) |
We got to do a rodeo re-do when preschool had Rodeo Day! Once again, I had ADORABLE kiddos with Aunt Sandi's outstanding outfits. Once again, Spencer was not loving the group pictures.
Kitten Korner:
Darn Nikki for moving right when I go to take a cute picture of snuggling kitties who rarely snuggle. |
Anyone can fold clothes under ideal conditions. |
And I leave you this month with a couple cute kids, one tired momma, and a sweet night-time message.
