- He began cruising (with enough motivation);
- Giggles increased tremendously.
- Babbling with consonants has begun with "buh buh" and "da da."
- He grew his 2nd (!) tooth.
- Spencer FINALLY figured out how to roll over, causing much less frustration.
- Immersion therapy over Thanksgiving helped with his hatred of all strangers (including his grandparents), and the stranger anxiety temporarily lessened, leading to a much happier baby. (That was, of course, until the very next swim lesson when he once again despised all strangers in childwatch...)
- He figured out how to climb stairs, and these parents of an ignored third child quickly figured out that we needed to close the bottom gate.
- AND as if you're not exhausted with all this progress, he started feeding himself table food to give him more texture and variety from the pureed foods of babyland.

It ONLY took him 9 months, but he got it! Cockroach, no more!
More gross motor progress!
At big guy's 9 month old well check - (or should I say "little guy?") - he measured 26.25" in length (only 2%) and weighed 17 lb 11.5 oz (only 8%). (But don't you worry: his whopping head circumference was in the 78th percentile.) Spencer tried to make it difficult to take his 9 month photo, but I won out in the end.
At this month's bff date with Becca, we "tested out" a new mattress store. Best mom date ever! She also gave us hand me down rain boots. Happy mommy; happy Ethan.
Rain boots then became the new house obsession!
In rare moments of sunshine and happiness, all 5 of us are outside, smiling, and enjoying the same activities at the same time. (AND in short sleeves in November no less!)
All my favorite people! |
Goofy moments with my big man:
We have officially been doing (mostly) weekly playdates with Lily and Jonah for two years now! That's pretty impressive. I'm glad these cuties still get along so well!
In other playdate news:
We love playing with Graham! |

A few more pictures to round out November's fun:
Firefighters visited school, and one little girl took a picture by herself with them. Just one little girl from the entire school... |

I don't typically check on Gabi after I put her to bed, but with an added challenge/excitement of sharing a room with cousins for a few days of Thanksgiving, it turns out she does some funny things in her sleep. (Keep in mind, we tuck her in under her blankets every night- without slippers.)
Mr. and Mrs. Cohen celebrated TEN (!!) years of marriage mid-November. Thanks to Nana and Zayde for babysitting so we could enjoy a night out to celebrate together (and eat donuts)!
