The Rest of July 2014

We had a great month of July! I'll start this post a little differently than the others and give the kitten sisters their spotlight instead of shoving them to the end as I often do. When baby brother comes, we'll see if they make it to the blog at all.

Brook didn't want to get left out in the kitty-pantry-picture-club.

October 2013

I don't even understand how she got up there. These kittens have some skills.

Now that Gabi is getting to be such a big girl and now that we're getting closer to baby brother joining us, it's time to get some NEW STUFF!!

Gabi got brand new big girl furniture. While she has not necessarily started using it, you can see who does indeed appreciate it.

We TRIED to wait until her 2nd birthday to get her an amazing toy kitchen, but Gabi NEEDED it.

We almost didn't need to put it together since
the box was pretty darn entertaining.

Then Gabi got impatient and offered to just put it together herself.

We love it! We're just WAY too busy to smile.

Gabi got a new magna doodle to keep her creative genius engaged while riding in the car. It has proven to be a great creative palate in addition to a (comfortable?) pillow.

When you're blessed with such cuteness, how can you not have fun with the clothes and hair?! Sometimes, I just amuse myself! (but Gabi doesn't look too bothered)

Having fun with Daddy at the mall:

She doesn't even need big sister training! She already knows how to take care of a baby.

Gabi proves once again to be a helpful member of the household!

Some videos for everyone's amusement!
I can eat with a huge girl fork!

(Her parents have since responsibly replaced
these with appropriate forks for little hands
that Gabi uses marvelously!)

Say "Mommy"?
Gabi is going to be such a sweet big sister!

18 Months Old

Gabriella Daphna is growing like a champ. At Gabi's 18 month appointment, she proved to be growing well, as expected. She measured in at 32.5 in. (74th%) and weighed in at 23 lb 13 oz (57th%).  She is blossoming with her language as it explodes daily. We are amazed at what she comprehends and even more astounded at the new words she speaks all the time. She continues to sign "more," "please," "all done," "milk," etc, but her voiced words are too many to count and list. She can show you her body parts when asked and make sounds for a whole barnyard of animals. It's amazing to think that we have been lucky enough to have this beautiful angel in our lives for a year and a half now!

Enjoy some special shots from the professional photo-shoot. You wouldn't know she was cranky for most of it!
