Special Aunt/Mommy/Micah Time

5-year-old Micah has been my "therapy baby" since he was born during a time of worldwide stress when everything was shut down for COVID. In the 5 years since, he has had to succumb to long-winded, rocking hugs as Aunt Debbie gets her endorphins released. My sweet nephew now enthusiastically runs to me to share these hugs, and I love every bit of it. When he requested "Special Mommy/Aunt Debbie time" one afternoon, weren't we amazed that we could make it happen! Family-friendly improv downtown followed by pretty special donuts. Aunt Debbie loves you, Micah!

Father's Day Observed

For others who celebrate, Father's Day was Sunday, June 15. For our family who had a son traveling and a father working, we observed when we could. Whenever we celebrate, we love and appreciate the father in our family who works tirelessly and brings such significant value and presence to our home.

Daddy's favorite biannual meal of pasta, vodka sauce, and bruschetta.

When all of Team Cohen were finally home together a week later, the kiddos gifted Daddy a bunch of special presents.

Ethan made a poem for Daddy.

The last gift was the most entertaining of all, when we gifted Daddy a custom-made shirt.

Little did Daddy know that the gift was more than just a shirt.

What Team Cohen celebration is complete without ice cream?!

Cohen Bros to Schlitterbahn

Thanks to a reading incentive over Winter Break, Spencer and Ethan both earned tickets to Schlitterbahn, and Daddy got to chaperone. Lots of smiles, laughter, and splashing were reported.

All's well that ends well. Daddy treated the boys to Olive Garden for some glutenful and gluten-free pasta.
